Hello and welcome!

NCNM Queers and allies seeks to provide patient and clinician education, and opportunities for outreach, activism, and social networking for the queer community of NCNM and the greater LGBTQI community.

We frequently hold seminars and workshops to educate student physicians about how to better serve the LGBTQI community. Over the last several years, we have had seminars on taking a sexual history, Transgender health care, elder care for the queer community, among others.

We seek to improve LGBTQI patient care at our clinics by changing the language of patient intake forms, teaching our students and professors about health issues relevant to the community, and increasing queer and ally physician visibility.

We are also a support network and social group and frequently have gatherings and potlucks to meet and hang out with other queer students and their friends. Over the last couple of years we have gone bowling, skating, and to queer community performances.
