Naturopathic and Chinese Medicine students search for their style of practice while they are hard at work studying in school. It can be a challenging task to find practitioners to preceptor and even more challenging to come across a role model with such a busy schedule. The Dr. Spotlight interview series seeks physicians who are willing to share their medical practices to contribute to the various growing ideas of what a student’s future can look like. These practitioners will help hundreds of students working to learn the art of medicine to shape their future goals by giving them an online glimpse into their worlds.
The following is an example of what Dr. Spotlight would reveal to curious minds:
The Medical Practice – (picture is preferably included)
• What is your focus?
• Where do you practice?
• How busy are you? What hours do you work?
• How long have you been in practice?
• Do you have a residency, preceptor or partner opportunity?
• (optional: How much do you charge for a 1st visit?)
The Practitioner – (picture is preferably included)
• Where and when did you graduate?
• What inspired you to come into the medicine?
• How would you describe your life? Your home? Your hobbies?
• Have you found balance between work and play?
• What did you want to know about going into practice when you were a student?
By contributing to the Dr. Spotlight online interview series, students and perspective students from all around the country can better mold their goals by incorporating the ideas of an experienced doctor.
